Wales largest solar park to generate 2MW in rural area
A £ 5m largest solar park project in Wales use 10,000 solar panels connected to the grid to power about 600 homes in local areas. Its expected to produce about 2 Megawatts of electricity for sustaining farming in rural areas. The project uses a new type of solar panel supplied by MiaSolĂ© in California's Silicon Valley which claimed cost-effective and has high efficiency.
Solar panel installation to form such a solar vineyard which placed in rows around 4m apart. Its also designed to allow rainwater drop through the arrays. This type of solar panels used considered as the most efficient use of solar energy in Wales, without the massive peaks.
The sustaining farming projects without disrupting agricultural activities such as irrigation and livestock grazing activities in the field of solar panel installations. Its also expected to provide carbon sustainability and financial sustainability.
The new feed in tariff from government is expected to benefit from the energy generated by solar parks, despite concerns by the Council for the Protection of Rural England on the impact of the large solar panel installation.
