Hybrid Solar Panel

British researchers have created a hybrid photovoltaic panel called Virtu. It can heats water and generates electricity at the same time.

The hybrid solar panels are not affected by ambient temperature and placed in vacuum tubes.

The cylinders can be installed on roofs (lying) or even facades (vertically), leaving the choice of the owner priority: electricity or heat.

The Virtu by Naked Energy is able to generate more useful energy per square meter when compared to conventional panels available on the market today.

A study from Imperial College London indicated that the method of heat transfer made photovoltaic cells generate about 40% more electricity.

What are the cost ? Everybody ask the cost and then will know if the technology is available for everybody. When the cost of energy will be down, then we can populate the other parts of Terra.
